June 2002 Project:- Land
Outline: 3D repersentations of geographical space from live data. These were the days before TOM TOM, ICDC worked with OS maps to convert live data into 3D maps on PDAs that were just emmerging, and had just about the capacity to calculate and display the information.

Involvement: Well, I work for a couple of weeks with Steve Leech of innovative visualisations of the content. We worked on ideas of using recognised landmarks and filtering content using colour, design and transparency.

The problem is still, in my opinion not fully solved, and we tried our best to come up with some different answers. Most of which following designers have found similar answers

It's not mind, but marks for me of extreme optimism of the cultural impact of new technology. I had the privilege of working at the International Centre of digital Content (icdc) for 10 years and worked many projects, all of which I hope to back on this blog
